We are looking for an exceptional candidate to join our public health team in Hull to help achieve our ambitious vision for the health and wellbeing of our city.
This is a challenging but exciting time to be joining the team who have been leading the drive to improve health and wellbeing in the city. The postholder will be strategically responsible for a broad public health portfolio working across all domains of Public Health. The public health team sits in the Directorate of Public Health and Adult Services, led by the Director of Public Health. Our structure and ways of working in the team mean this role will be flexible in terms of lead areas and we will support a portfolio where your key strengths and interests can complement existing consultant portfolios.
The ideal candidate will be a proven strategic thinker with excellent leadership skills , and an ability to work across a range of service areas. You will provide public health technical and specialist leadership within the wider multi-agency environment and be highly effective in building and sustaining relationships with stakeholders, service providers, elected members and wider sub regional and regional partner agencies. Effective interpersonal and influencing skills are key, together with an ability to respond to multiple and changing demands.
Applicants must be qualified as a public health specialist and be on the GMC, GDC or UKPHR specialist register.
